Beautification Award

Keep Victoria Beautiful recognizes Victoria businesses that beautify our city and reducing litter, making it more attractive to residents and visitors alike, reducing crime and growing our economy.

You can nominate a local business for the Beautification Award by filling out our online Beautification Award Nomination Form.

Businesses nominated for the Beautification Award should have had landscaping in place for at least one year. Businesses with neat building exteriors, well cared for property and landscaping and blooming plants are strongly considered for this award.

Winners will receive recognition from local media and the Victoria Chamber of Commerce.

Award Criteria

A property can receive the award only once in a 24 month period.

The award winner is NOT required to be a Chamber of Commerce member.

Landscaping must have been maintained at least 12 consecutive months prior to being considered for an award for new or remodeled construction.

The condition of the property in consideration will include:

• Building must be in good order and neat in appearance
• Property must be clean and neat from the view of all public roads
• Grass must be green and neatly mowed
• Shrubbery must be neat and trimmed
• Blooming flowers or plants are a very strong positive for selection consideration
• No trash on their property or blowing debris on neighboring properties
• Signs must also be neat and in good appearance

• Work with the property representative to set up a date for the award ceremony
• Place a sign recognizing the award winner at a suitable location on the property
• Prepare and present a press release to local media outlets
• Invite Chamber Ambassadors to attend the award ceremony
• Present a frame certificate to the awardee
• Take photos to be used for post event media releases

• May invite persons to attend the ceremony
• Are encouraged to invite their business neighbors to the ceremony
• May provide snacks and beverages for the ceremony
